3 Ways to make a DIY nail polished mason jar

Say whaaaaaaaaat? Too many empty jars and you are unwilling to waste them? Here comes the solution, actually there are 3 of them: the Water Colour Design, the Polka Dots Design and the Abstract Design...

As you probably won't know I am quite a clumsy person so that my attention is captured by every quick and easy remedy in the day to day life.

And I am sure not to be the only one out there: that's why today I decided to share these "stylished ideas for clumsy people" with you, mates!

The goal is to create some nice-unique-fancy-glamour-whateveryoudesire masterpiece with essencialy two ingredients: nail polish and mason jars

I guess that I put you in the picture...Now it's time to move on to the DIY.

SUPPLIES

- Nail polish (various shades)

- Maison jars

- Nail polish remover

- Paper tape (in this DIY I used some hole reinforcement stickers instead)

- Scissors

- Cotton pads

- Wooden picks

- Cotton bud

- Wide bowl (that you don’t mind getting dirty) big enough for the jar to fit in horizontally)

- Warm water

DIRECTIONS
WATER COLOUR DESIGN

1. Wipe the mason jars with nail polish remover to clean them

2. Put a protective cover or some old newspapers on your working surface

3. Fill the bowl with warm water almost up to the rim

4. Pour some drops of the nail polish into the bowl until a big part of the water surface is covered

5. Use a woden pick to gently move the nail polish on the water surface

6. Hold the jar horizontally and let it gently touch the surface of the water where the nail polish is

7. Lift the bottle out of the water and put it to dry

8. Correct the imperfections using your nail polish remover. Done.

DIRECTIONS
POLKA DOTS (OR ANY OTHER SHAPE) DESIGN

1. Wipe the mason jars with nail polish remover to clean them

2. Put a protective cover or some old newspapers on your working surface

3. Put some hole reinforcement stickers on your jar with creativity. Make sure they stick well on the surface in order to avoid the nail polish to slide everywere. If you wish to create others kinds of shapes on the mason jars you can use the paper tape instead of the stickers and create, for exemple, some geometric figures. I also used the internal stickers circles to make some imperfect circles.

4. Colour the internal holes of the stickers with the nail polish carrefully.

5. Put the mason jar to dry and take the stickers off the jars.

6. Correct the imperfections using your nail polish remover. Done.

DIRECTIONS
ABSTRACT DESIGN

1. Wipe the mason jars with nail polish remover to clean them

2. Put a protective cover or some old newspapers on your working surface

3. Choose your colour palette made by differents nail polish shades and pour some drops of the nail polishes on the mason jar surface with creativity.

4. Put the mason jar to dry

5. Correct the imperfections using your nail polish remover. Done.
