Sevilla, me gustas tu.
I heard about this city few years ago when I first saw some pictures that a friend of mine posted about the city.
I don’t know if it was for the colourful architecture or for the exotic ambiance but it was love at first sight!
Sevilla, the Andalusian city, called me and I had to answer….so in a mid September morning I flew in from Bari Airport.
My visit lasted 3 days and it was enough to get the full experience.

"3XMe" door and I love it! Here is all about stunning doors, patios and fountains... |
WHAT TO (ABSOLUTELY) SEE
Visiting The Real Alcazar you are gonna dive into surreal colonial athmospheres. Don’t miss the Alcazar Gardens.
Plaza de Espana with it’s beautiful tiles and it's little boats on the water it remembers a small Venice.
Do you want to takes photos to remeber for a lifetimes? Go there ;)
The Metropol Parasol is where the modern takes place on the ancient. You will benefit of an amazing bird's view of the entire city.
Plaza de Toros is a must-see (if you are into bull fighting but also if, like me, you are not*), it is almost a spanish cliché with the Corrida vibes, the red, white and yellow walls…time seems to have stopped!
*I want to spend a couple of words about visiting places like this one. You can agree and you can like the Corrida thing or not but I belive in the importance of visiting historical places like this in order to be able to learn and to improve the world that we live in from the cruelty traditions of the past.

I have a picture for every single fountain...but I am kind enough not showing you all of them ;) |
 |
Doors here are so old fashoned, the materials authentic, the coulours of the walls sooo deep that everything seems insane! |

Some rest is needed...Sevillan days are quite intense! |
WHERE TO STAY
Hostal Lis is the accomodation that I have chosen.
In
perfect andalusian style, I adored his tiles and of course his patio.

Due to his strategic position,
a few steps away from the Metropol Parasol, it is the right choice if you want to explore the city by walking. Plus it has a good value for
the rate.
If you are in search of a
higher level of comfort have a look at the Alfonso XIII Hotel where, by the way,
you can also step by to have a drink in his stunning courtyard. Speaking of, let's see...
...WHERE TO EAT & DRINK
Pelayo Bar was, for sure, my favorite restaurant for this trip...Relay on staff for any advice. Try their knife cut Jamon Patanegra.
El Rinconcillo is the oldest bar in Sevilla so make sure to stop here to feel the magic of this unique place and to eat some Tapas.
Have dinner at El Pinton...book a table to make sure to eat in their faboulous patio and order their Sangria...it's delicious.
Go to El Garlochì, mentioned also on the Lonely Planet for its design (so bizarre), to drink a cerveza.
Last but not least, have a seat at La Carboneria, popular among locals. There you can watch a free Flamenco show (in Sevilla this is usually a paid attraction) and you'll experience the "real" Sevilla kind of night.
Buuuut I have to say that the food is not a priority here... so make sure to eat before you go and once in there order just some snacks.

TIPS
Visit Las Duenas if you have some time left...It is a ancient casa or palacio that fully reflects the Sevilla vibes (it's a small version of the Real Alcazar). It's worth it.
Andalucia is a really warm region so I strongly suggest you to plan your visit from September and up to Mai, avoiding the summertime.
Before leaving this city remember to buy some Patanegra Jamon and some characteristic fan as souvenirs.
