Pressed Flower Art #FlowerPowerDIY

Autumn has come in perfect timing for this flower theme DIY.

This season is perfect to collect all the falling leaves and the colourful flowers that Mother Nature is giving us to get inspired for creating a very unique masterpiece.

Easy as usual, to assure this job, you’ll need only 3 ingredients: creativity, few supplies and the time to take a walk into the wild.

Here we are again: time to DIY.

DIRECTIONS

- Press the flowers and leaves that you like in a heavy book.
Use only half of the book to insert the flowers.
Leave the unused half as wheigt to better dry and flatten your flowers.

- Add extra weight on the book in order to get an uniform pressure.

- Wait until the flowers and the leaves are dried and well pressed.

- Once they’re ready, study the best composition for your frame.

- Glue all the leaves and flowers on the glass following the draw that you have in your mind.

- Cover the work with the second glass.
Press and put it in the frame.

- Now find a nice spot to hang your composition.

You can use this DIY as a present for the Mother’s Day, for example.

It could also be a way to keep the memory of a flower bouquet that someone special gifted to you.

You can use the flowers from your wedding or, even better, from your bridal bouquet so they can last forever.

If I did it... you can surely do!

Until next DIY, until next time!
